About the Company

Land Scout’s unique partnership with its sister company, Reagan Smith Energy Solutions, allows us to provide federal and Indian land data that was previously very difficult obtain.

Reagan Smith Energy Solutions is known for providing regulatory and project planning guidance. From the initiation of a project, our staff uses all resources available to provide comprehensive troubleshooting and guidance on project planning. Now our extensive experience of troubleshooting is just a click away.

We have spent years fine tuning our BIA and BLM databases as well as our ArcGIS layers. We have marshalled this data in-house to assist our clients. It is now available on-line through Land Scout.

Monica Smith Griffin brings her extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations to Land Scout. For over 17 years, Monica has been providing guidance and troubleshooting to clients planning projects on Federal and Indian lands. All of this experience has been used to develop a comprehensive on-line mapping tool.

Prior to the formation for Reagan Smith Energy Solutions, Inc., Monica Smith Griffin was a petroleum landman for five years. During that time, she gained valuable experience in dealing with various regulatory agencies such as the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Bureau of Land Management and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She has used this experience to create a company that allows operators to navigate complicated regulations and procedures.

With her extensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations and leasing procedures, she is the backbone of Reagan Smith, providing assistance in all aspects of the company. Monica works closely with all the departments of Reagan Smith ensuring efficient and accurate work product for all clients. As the President, she is responsible for guiding the company through the ever-changing energy sector and spearheading new endeavors.

Monica has a background in Contracts, Environmental Law, International Law, and Petroleum Transactions. Monica is also a senior partner at St. John, Griffin & Krieg, P.L.L.C. which focuses on Native American and natural resource law.

Scott St. John

Scott St. John

Vice President of Land Scout

Scott St. John acts as a senior advisor in the developing and testing phases of Land Scout. His insight in developing a mapping service for project planning is based on his extensive experience in siting oil and gas projects over the last 12 years.

Scott St. John has a background in engineering and years of experience in the oil industry. In 2005, Scott joined Reagan Smith bringing his years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Scott is well versed in county, state and Federal regulations. He specializes in preparing complete drilling permits and working as a liaison between government entities and operators. Scott deals directly with the Bureau of Land Management daily to ensure operators are compliant with regulations.

Scott is also specialized in federal environmental law and regulations. He leads the environmental, wildlife and permitting departments in providing regulatory permits to a variety of industries.

Scott is also a senior partner at St. John, Griffin & Krieg, P.L.L.C. which focuses on Native American and natural resource law.

Jennifer Krieg

Jennifer Krieg

Vice President of Land Scout

Jennifer Krieg acts a senior advisor to the Land Scout team. Her extensive knowledge of BIA and BLM records has allowed Land Scout to synthesize available data and provide comprehensive regulatory reports to clients.

Jennifer Krieg began her career in the legal field including work in the Department of Justice and private firms in Oklahoma City. In 2005, Jennifer joined Reagan Smith Energy Solutions bringing with her years of legal and governmental relations experience. She works with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Tribes daily. Her leasing department has leased over 40,000 restricted mineral owners and various tribes. She works with the various tribal governments in presenting proposals and working through the approval process.

Jennifer is also a senior partner at St. John, Griffin & Krieg, P.L.L.C. which focuses on Native American and natural resource law.

Madeline Cole

Madeline Cole

Arc GIS Specialist

Madeline graduated in the spring of 2015 from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Geography and a double minor in Geographic Information Science and Sociology. During her studies she focused on the historical geography, declining populations, and distribution of ghost towns in the state of Oklahoma. Prior to working for Reagan Smith, Madeline interned for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in the Oil and Gas Conservation Division. Madeline georeferenced historic aerial photographs for their Aerial Image Library and gained valuable experience working for a state regulatory agency. She has also attended GIS day at the State Capital for two years representing the Oklahoma Corporation Commission’s GIS work. Madeline now uses her Geographic Information Science knowledge to graphically represent permitting, leasing, wildlife, and environmental data.

Alex Sherman

Alex Sherman

Arc GIS Specialist

Alex graduated in the spring of 2013 from the University of Oklahoma where he wrote his capstone thesis on the vernacular geography of poverty in the state of Oklahoma. At OU Alex mainly researched the spatial characteristics of demographic change, urban planning and human impact on the environment. Throughout school Alex maintained a close interest in cartography and Geographic Information Systems which he now uses at Reagan Smith Energy Solutions to graphically represent permitting, leasing, wildlife and environmental data. In this capacity Alex also communicates with the GIS specialists of client companies and government agencies to collect data and ensure the transition of data goes smoothly.

Lauren is originally from Texas and moved to Oklahoma in 2007 to attend Oklahoma Christian University, where she graduated with a B.A. in Business Management in 2012. Lauren is the Database Administrator for Reagan Smith Energy Solutions and is currently working on a multitude of projects. Prior to working at Reagan Smith Energy Solutions, Lauren was a customer service representative and book keeper for an independent insurance agency where she learned valuable customer service skills and used her business management degree.

Kristin Weaver

Director of Business Development

Kristin Weaver of Bristow, Oklahoma, focuses on building relationships and providing solutions for businesses across all sectors of energy. Her diverse knowledge of technology, oil and gas, safety, industrial products, and agriculture allows her to connect with her customers and quickly understand their needs. With over 15 years of business development and marketing experience, Kristin delivers excellent customer service, training and reliability to her clients. She studied Agribusiness/Marketing at Oklahoma State University and is currently enrolled in the Agriculture Leadership program.

Kelsey joined Reagan Smith Energy Solutions April of 2018. Prior to Reagan Smith Energy Solutions, Kelsey worked as an Office Manager for over five years at a Concrete and Construction Company out of Piedmont, Oklahoma. While there, she learned valuable customer service, Human Resources, and accounting skills. Kelsey currently works as a Database Specialist for Reagan Smith Energy Solutions and maintains the Five Civilized Tribes Database and Records which is vital to our Bureau of Indian Affairs and Federal Lands Operations. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys hanging out with her two dogs and spending time with her family.
